In October 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Works from the Najd Collection, which included the work The Guard by Rudolf Ernst. The result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 231,985.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Ernst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Mosque Of Rüstem Pasha, Constantinople, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 759,000.00 (€ 880,385.57).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Important Works from the Najd Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Guard von Rudolf Ernst zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 231.985,66) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Ernst mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Mosque Of Rüstem Pasha, Constantinople beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 759.000,00 (€ 880.385,57) versteigert wurde.
