Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Favourite by Rudolf Ernst was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2020. The price achieved of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 136,603.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rudolf Ernst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mosque Of Rüstem Pasha, Constantinople in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 759,000.00 (€ 880,385.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Favourite von Rudolf Ernst wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 136.603,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolf Ernst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Mosque Of Rüstem Pasha, Constantinople im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 759.000,00 (€ 880.385,57).
