In April 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Musician On The Terrace by Rudolf Ernst. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,006.85), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mosque Of Rüstem Pasha, Constantinople in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 759,000.00 (€ 880,385.57).

Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Musician On The Terrace von Rudolf Ernst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.006,85) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Mosque Of Rüstem Pasha, Constantinople im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 759.000,00 (€ 880.385,57).
