Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A New Dawn by Rudolf Ernst was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2020. The price achieved of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 172,551.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rudolf Ernst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mosque Of Rüstem Pasha, Constantinople in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 759,000.00 (€ 880,385.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A New Dawn von Rudolf Ernst wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 172.551,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolf Ernst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Mosque Of Rüstem Pasha, Constantinople im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 759.000,00 (€ 880.385,57).
