The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,378.67) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rubens Santoro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venezia, Il Canal Grande Alla Salute in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 156,800.00.

Die Arbeit Italian grand Canal, Venice von Rubens Santoro kam im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.378,67) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rubens Santoro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venezia, Il Canal Grande Alla Salute im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 156.800,00.
