In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction British & European Art: European Art, which included the work Gondola on the Grand Canal near Ca' Rezzonico, Venice by Rubens Santoro. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,151.84), 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rubens Santoro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venezia, Il Canal Grande Alla Salute, which sold at auction in June 2001 for EUR 156,800.00.

Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & European Art: European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gondola on the Grand Canal near Ca' Rezzonico, Venice von Rubens Santoro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.151,84) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Rubens Santoro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venezia, Il Canal Grande Alla Salute beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für EUR 156.800,00 versteigert wurde.
