The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 41,125.00 (€ 43,085.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Virgem dos labios de mel is the most expensive artwork by Rubens Gerchman that we have observed at auctions so far.
