Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: (i) Sun; (ii) Sky by Rubens Gerchman was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in November 2013. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,837.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rubens Gerchman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Virgem dos labios de mel in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 41,125.00 (€ 43,085.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two works: (i) Sun; (ii) Sky von Rubens Gerchman wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.837,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rubens Gerchman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Virgem dos labios de mel im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.125,00 (€ 43.085,39).
