Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work El sabor de las lágrimas by Rubén Alpízar. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,187.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rubén Alpízar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (From the series Pequeños vinculos), which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,702.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit El sabor de las lágrimas von Rubén Alpízar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.187,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rubén Alpízar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (From the series Pequeños vinculos) beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.702,64) versteigert wurde.
