Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Paintings, which included the work Vi De La Serie El Sabor De Las Lagrimas by Rubén Alpízar. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,547.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rubén Alpízar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (From the series Pequeños vinculos), which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,702.64).

Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vi De La Serie El Sabor De Las Lagrimas von Rubén Alpízar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.547,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rubén Alpízar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (From the series Pequeños vinculos) beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.702,64) versteigert wurde.
