In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian Composition With A Bath sold for AUD 48,000.00 (€ 29,269.31) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roy De Maistre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian New Atlantis in November 2009 with an auction result of AUD 222,000.00 (€ 135,370.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Roy De Maistre erzielte im November 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit Australian Composition With A Bath für AUD 48.000,00 (€ 29.269,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roy De Maistre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian New Atlantis im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 222.000,00 (€ 135.370,55).
