In December 2000 Christies in London held the auction ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS AND PRINTED BOOKS, which included the work Happy Christmas by Frederick Rowland Emett. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 998.75 (€ 1,591.00), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Rowland Emett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Shell X100 By-Plane in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,820.38).

Im Dezember 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS AND PRINTED BOOKS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Happy Christmas von Frederick Rowland Emett zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.591,00) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Rowland Emett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Shell X100 By-Plane im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.820,38).
