In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work 'The Rythmical Time Fountain for the Victoria Centre, Nottingham' by Frederick Rowland Emett. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,884.37), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Frederick Rowland Emett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Shell X100 By-Plane in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,820.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'The Rythmical Time Fountain for the Victoria Centre, Nottingham' von Frederick Rowland Emett zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.884,37) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Rowland Emett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Shell X100 By-Plane im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.820,38).
