Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederick Rowland Emett could be acquired at Bonhams in London in February 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Gentleman's Library Sale auction, the work A Scale model of Emett's automaton 'HMS Pussiewillow I' changed hands for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,470.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Rowland Emett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Shell X100 By-Plane in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,820.38).
