Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Dublin held the auction The Irish SaleVision & Voice, which included the work Yeats and the Blue Moon of the West 99.1 x 11.2 cm. (39 x 4 3/8 in.) by Ross Wilson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 512.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ross Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Horse) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,343.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Dublin die Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yeats and the Blue Moon of the West 99.1 x 11.2 cm. (39 x 4 3/8 in.) von Ross Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 512,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ross Wilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Horse) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.343,26).
