This artwork by Ron English achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in June 2010. In the FILM auction, the work Large Marilyn Red Peach sold for USD 31,250.00 (€ 25,425.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ron English - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Slash 'n Friends (Album Cover), which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 92,500.00 (€ 64,343.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ron English erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FILM wurde die Arbeit Large Marilyn Red Peach für USD 31.250,00 (€ 25.425,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ron English mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Slash 'n Friends (Album Cover) beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 92.500,00 (€ 64.343,35) versteigert wurde.
