Sold at the upper estimate price
In January 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Hopper-Head by Ron Cooper. The auction ended at the price of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,093.69), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Ron Cooper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Lamps: Earl McGrath in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,931.76).
