The work Peasant Women by Romeo Tabuena was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2019. The result of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,431.01) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romeo Tabuena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Beggars in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,854.38).

Die Arbeit Peasant Women von Romeo Tabuena wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.431,01) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romeo Tabuena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three Beggars im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.854,38).
