Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boy With Carabaos by Romeo Tabuena was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 56,700.00 (€ 6,279.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Romeo Tabuena have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Beggars in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,854.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boy With Carabaos von Romeo Tabuena wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.700,00 (€ 6.279,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Romeo Tabuena auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Beggars im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.854,38).
