Auction result well in line with expectations
In February last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Online, which included the work Lighted Lamps by Romeo Tabuena. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 30,240.00 (€ 3,445.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romeo Tabuena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Beggars in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,854.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lighted Lamps von Romeo Tabuena zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 30.240,00 (€ 3.445,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romeo Tabuena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three Beggars im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.854,38).
