The result of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,715.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romeo Tabuena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Beggars in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,854.38).

Die Arbeit Landscape With Nipa Huts von Romeo Tabuena wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.715,51) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romeo Tabuena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three Beggars im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.854,38).
