Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cactus (Cactus Series) by Romeo Tabuena was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,349.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romeo Tabuena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Beggars in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,854.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cactus (Cactus Series) von Romeo Tabuena wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.349,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romeo Tabuena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three Beggars im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.854,38).
