Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figure with Bird by Romare Bearden was auctioned at Phillips in 7 - in December this year. The price achieved of USD 10,795.00 (€ 9,758.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romare Bearden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Street in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,109,000.00 (€ 982,546.29).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.795,00 (€ 9.758,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romare Bearden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Street im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.109.000,00 (€ 982.546,29).
