The work Yorkshire Dales (illustrated); and Canal scene, Leeds by Roland Vivian Pitchforth was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,245.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Yorkshire Dales (illustrated); and Canal scene, Leeds is the most expensive artwork by Roland Vivian Pitchforth that we have observed at auctions so far.
