Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work River Medway by Roland Vivian Pitchforth. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 763.75 (€ 1,210.64). Other works by Roland Vivian Pitchforth have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,245.96) in May 2012 for the work Yorkshire Dales (illustrated); and Canal scene, Leeds.

Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit River Medway von Roland Vivian Pitchforth zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 763,75 (€ 1.210,64) einen neuen Besitzer.
