Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Le Juge by Roland Topor. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 701.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Roland Topor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The angry postman in February 2008 with an auction result of EUR 6,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Juge von Roland Topor zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 701,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roland Topor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The angry postman im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.250,00.
