Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roland Shakespeare Wakelin could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Australian Art auction, the work Seated Nude changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 846.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roland Shakespeare Wakelin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street Scene, Mosman in May 2001 with an auction result of AUD 64,625.00 (€ 38,736.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roland Shakespeare Wakelin konnte im September 2015 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Australian Art wechselte die Arbeit Seated Nude für GBP 625,00 (€ 846,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roland Shakespeare Wakelin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street Scene, Mosman im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 64.625,00 (€ 38.736,78).
