Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Roger Edgar Gillet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Sans titre - circa 1954 sold for EUR 7,085.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roger Edgar Gillet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Une Soiree Chez Pollac, 1968 in October 2011 with an auction result of EUR 51,345.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roger Edgar Gillet erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sans titre - circa 1954 für EUR 7.085,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roger Edgar Gillet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Une Soiree Chez Pollac, 1968 im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.345,00.
