The work Composition - 1955 by Roger Edgar Gillet was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in June this year. It achieved a price of EUR 4,723.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Edgar Gillet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Une Soiree Chez Pollac, 1968 in October 2011 with an auction result of EUR 51,345.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition - 1955 von Roger Edgar Gillet wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 4.723,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Edgar Gillet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Une Soiree Chez Pollac, 1968 im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.345,00.
