Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Droom by Roelof Frankot was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 500.00. Admittedly, works by Roelof Frankot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vrouw met kind in Staphorst in September 2010 with an auction result of EUR 2,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Droom von Roelof Frankot im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 500,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roelof Frankot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vrouw met kind in Staphorst im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.375,00.
