Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Il Ponte held the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, which included the work The red jacket by Robert Vickrey. The price achieved of EUR 1,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 1,700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Vickrey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Green Thought in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 35,312.50 (€ 28,958.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit The red jacket von Robert Vickrey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 1.700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Vickrey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Green Thought im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.312,50 (€ 28.958,91).
