Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The British Warblers..., 1823 by Robert Sweet was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 592.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Sweet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The British Flower Garden, 1823-1838, 7 volumes in May last year with an auction result of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,893.62).

Die Arbeit The British Warblers..., 1823 von Robert Sweet kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 592,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Sweet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The British Flower Garden, 1823-1838, 7 volumes im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.893,62).
