In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper including the Collection and Studio of, which included the work Men only by Robert Stewart Sherriffs. The price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 765.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Robert Stewart Sherriffs have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2018 the work ‘Winston Churchill: “How Absurd! Here Am I All Dressed Up To Do Honour To The Greatest Churchill Of Us All –”. Duke Of Marlborough: “– Me Too!”’ was auctioned for GBP 938.00 (€ 1,067.96).
