Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ruth by Robert Scott Lauder was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,276.64) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Scott Lauder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Claverhouse ordering Morton to be carried out and shot for having given refuge to Balfour of Burley, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,937.48).

Die Arbeit Ruth von Robert Scott Lauder wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.276,64) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
