Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Fishermen At Work by Robert Salmon. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,320.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Salmon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven in June 2009 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 172,967.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishermen At Work von Robert Salmon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.320,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Salmon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 172.967,19).
