Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work An Armed Packet Drifting Along The Thames Off Woolwich With Galleons Reach Astern Of Her And The East India Dock And Its Masting House Observed Off Her Starboard Bow by Robert Salmon. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,092.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Salmon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven in June 2009 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 172,967.19).

Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Armed Packet Drifting Along The Thames Off Woolwich With Galleons Reach Astern Of Her And The East India Dock And Its Masting House Observed Off Her Starboard Bow von Robert Salmon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 33.092,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00.
