Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Cabinet des beautées, Château de Versailles, 1985 by Robert Polidori was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in October 2021. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,313.02) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Polidori - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Green Car, 1997, which sold at auction in November 2013 for EUR 55,500.00.

Die Arbeit Cabinet des beautées, Château de Versailles, 1985 von Robert Polidori wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.313,02) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Polidori mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Green Car, 1997 beobachtet, die im November 2013 für EUR 55.500,00 versteigert wurde.
