The work Wrestlers by Robert Medley was worth GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,028.55) to a buyer in December 2006. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 600.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Medley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red and green figuration sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 25,280.67).
