Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The mussel gatherers by Robert McGregor was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,999.66). Admittedly, works by Robert McGregor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Floating in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,574.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The mussel gatherers von Robert McGregor wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.999,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert McGregor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Floating im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.574,00).
