Despite a disappointment, a good price for Robert McGregor
This work of art by Robert McGregor could be acquired at Sothebys in London in August 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Scottish and Sporting Pictures auction, the work Floating changed hands for GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,574.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Floating is the most expensive artwork by Robert McGregor that we have observed at auction so far.
