Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Diogenes smoking by Robert Lenkiewicz. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,885.90), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Lenkiewicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Painter With Karen On The Studio Bed in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,650.52).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Diogenes smoking von Robert Lenkiewicz zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.885,90) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Lenkiewicz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Painter With Karen On The Studio Bed im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.650,52).
