Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Diogenes seated outside the artist's studio by Robert Lenkiewicz. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,890.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Lenkiewicz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Painter With Karen On The Studio Bed in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,650.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Diogenes seated outside the artist's studio von Robert Lenkiewicz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.890,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Lenkiewicz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Painter With Karen On The Studio Bed im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.650,52).
