Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Kelly could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Nocturne Assemblage Xvi changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,684.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Kelly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mimesis XXI in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,925.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Kelly konnte im Januar 2008 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Nocturne Assemblage Xvi für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.684,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Kelly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mimesis XXI im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.925,26).
