Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The return of the fishing fleet on the Tyne by Robert Jobling. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,549.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Jobling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sea Music, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,759.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The return of the fishing fleet on the Tyne von Robert Jobling zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.549,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Jobling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sea Music beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 14.759,23) versteigert wurde.
