A top price for Robert Irwin
In November 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Macklowe Collection, which included this untitled work by Robert Irwin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,331,600.00 (€ 7,381,589.44), 39% above the upper estimate. With this result, this work without title is even the most expensive work of art by Robert Irwin that we have observed at auctions so far.
