Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work South Roundabout, Proposed 1992 (project pending), Las Vegas, 1992 by Robert Irwin was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. It achieved a price of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,808.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Irwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 8,331,600.00 (€ 7,381,589.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit South Roundabout, Proposed 1992 (project pending), Las Vegas, 1992 von Robert Irwin wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.808,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Irwin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.331.600,00 (€ 7.381.589,44).
