Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chow Choy by Robert Henri was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 375,312.50 (€ 332,517.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Henri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mary Agnes, which sold at auction in December 2009 for USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,073,471.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chow Choy von Robert Henri kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 375.312,50 (€ 332.517,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Henri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mary Agnes beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für USD 1.538.500,00 (€ 1.073.471,95) versteigert wurde.
