Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Henri could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work The City Island changed hands for USD 23,040.00 (€ 21,122.11) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Henri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mary Agnes in December 2009 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,073,471.95).
