Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,374.53). Admittedly, works by Robert Gwathmey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Country Gospel Music in November last year with an auction result of USD 50,775.00 (€ 49,186.28).

Die Arbeit Study for 'Muse' von Robert Gwathmey wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.374,53) einen neuen Besitzer.
