Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Griffier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2000. In the British Pictures auction, the work Tulips, narcissi, peonies, morning glory, roses and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a ledge decorated with fruit and flowers in a landscape sold for GBP 20,562.50 (€ 32,594.09) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Griffier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer: An Extensive Rhenish Landscape With Boats At A Quayside And Peasants By An Inn; And Winter: A Frozen Winter Landscape With Peasants in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 232,000.00 (€ 339,620.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Griffier erzielte im Juni 2000 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British Pictures wurde die Arbeit Tulips, narcissi, peonies, morning glory, roses and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a ledge decorated with fruit and flowers in a landscape für GBP 20.562,50 (€ 32.594,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Griffier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer: An Extensive Rhenish Landscape With Boats At A Quayside And Peasants By An Inn; And Winter: A Frozen Winter Landscape With Peasants im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 232.000,00 (€ 339.620,81).
